Why You Need to Add a Facial Oil to Your Skincare Routine

acial oils is that they are a fantastic way to rejuvenate and revitalise your complexion

For many of us, the thought of using a facial oil may be frightening – especially if you have oily or blemish-prone skin. However, facial oils can be incredibly beneficial and can be used by all skin types.

Adding a great quality facial oil such as our Six Oils of Rejuvenation into your daily skin regime will make a remarkable difference to your complexion thanks to the deeply hydrating and nourishing blend of organic plant oils including Avocado, Carrot Seed, Rosehip, and Jojoba.

Our facial oil is incredibly unique as this combination of multi-tasking ingredients works to target and treat a range of skin concerns that different skin types may face.

Boost Your Skin's Hydration Levels

One of my favourite things about facial oils is that they are a fantastic way to rejuvenate and revitalise your complexion by helping to boost your skin’s hydration levels.

As facial oils are a concentrated blend of powerful ingredients, they can quickly and effectively address skin issues such as dehydration, irritation, or sensitivity.

Thanks to Carrot Oil, Ylang Ylang and Rosemary present in our Six Oils of Rejuvenation it can help to repair and replenish dry, damaged or stressed skin while you sleep.

Carrot Seed Oil in particular is rich in beta carotene (Vitamin A), which is essential for maintaining healthy skin.

For the best results, I recommend massaging 6 drops into your skin at night or adding a few drops of oil to your preferred SCOUT moisturiser in the evening for an added moisture boost.

Facial Oil Benefits for Mature Skin

As our skin matures, its ability to produce its own natural oils will begin to decrease, as well as lose the capability to retain moisture and elasticity.

This can leave your complexion more vulnerable to environmental stressors such as harmful UV rays and seasonal weather changes that damage your skin and lead to premature ageing.

A great thing about facial oils is that they work to strengthen and plump your complexion by adding a protective barrier over your skin that helps to prevent moisture loss.

Our Six Oils of Rejuvenation contains Avocado Oil and Rosehip Oil that are rich in antioxidants and vitamins such as Vitamin E and Omega 6 and 9 that help improve the skin’s natural defences and deliver a healthy, nourished and youthful complexion.

Great for All Skin Types

While those with oily or combination skin types may be conditioned to avoid products that contain oils, facial oils are actually skincare essential to help balance the skin.

When we constantly over-strip our skin from oils, your skin will usually respond by producing more oil to compensate for the loss, which then causes clogged pores and acne.

The best way to restore and rebalance oily skin is to feed the skin with a lightweight plant-based oil for the face that will mimic natural sebum and stop it from overproducing its own.

Jojoba Oil, which can also be found in our Six Oils of Rejuvenation, is one of the best natural oils to do this. Not only is Jojoba Oil low comedogenic, but it is also naturally rich in Vitamins A, D, and E, making it a great anti-inflammatory to soothe and repair inflamed, irritated and acne-prone skin.
