Your lips are one of your most sensitive facial features. Not only is the skin around your lips much thinner than the rest of your face but your lips lack the hair and sweat glands that act as a natural barrier of defence for the rest of your skin. Further to this, anything that is applied to your lips is directly absorbed, consumed and ingested. Whether you’re eating, drinking or licking your lips, your lipstick will end up being swallowed in some amount.
This is why when creating our Pure Colour Organic Lipstick it was incredibly important for me to ensure that our collection of lipsticks were not only glamorous and reflective of current runway trends, but are safe to use, free from toxic and harmful ingredients and help to protect, nourish and soothe your lips throughout wear.
Organic Citrus Oil is just one of the potent natural and organic ingredients that have been blended into our lipstick formulas and provides a range of protective and healing benefits for the skin on your lips. Citrus oil contains high levels of vitamin C, which helps to boost collagen production and increase blood flow to your lips to smooth out fine lines and wrinkles and promote supple and plump lips. Not only does vitamin C offer anti-ageing benefits but also helps to protect your lips from sun damage and harmful UV rays. This is due to vitamin C being an antioxidant that naturally works to strengthen your skin and fight against environmental stressors that can weaken and damage your lips.
As a natural antiseptic and anti inflammatory, organic citrus oil is great for those who have sensitive skin or experience easily irritated lips. With their soothing and calming benefits, citrus oil helps to heal chapped or sore lips whilst offering deep hydration to prevent moisture loss.
Combined with the other organic and natural ingredients in our lipstick range such as jojoba seed oil and shea butter, our entire lipstick range is proudly Australian made and owned, 100% vegan and cruelty-free and does not include harmful ingredients such as FD&C dyes, heavy metals, artificial colours and petroleum derived ingredients.
